KOVO Slim Handle Carbide Pottery Trimming Tools

KOVO Slim Handle carbide pottery trimming tools offer a lighter, more direct feel for everyday work at the wheel. Each tool combines a solid tungsten carbide trimming head, a slim rosewood handle, and a brass ferrule for controlled clay removal and steady contact with the form.

Select the profile that matches the areas you trim most—from rounded walls and inside curves to foot rings, edges, and defined transitions.

Standard Edge for Everyday Trimming

These KOVO carbide pottery trimming tools come with our Standard Edge, a durable working profile for regular trimming on evenly leather-hard clay.

The Standard Edge has a balanced profile rather than a razor-thin grind. It provides steady, controlled clay removal while maintaining greater edge durability through repeated studio use.

For cleaner results, use light, continuous pressure and allow the carbide head to move smoothly through the clay. Avoid forcing the tool into very dry or fully hardened clay.
